AWS Data Engineer II
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer II will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize data storage solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, ensuring optimal query performance and cost efficiency
- Design and build reporting layers that enable non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices to manage data infrastructure effectively
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
