AWS DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote AWS DevOps Engineer, the position focuses on designing, optimizing, and sustaining AWS cloud environments for the Marine Corps Systems Command, ensuring high performance and compliance in a government-contracted setting.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain optimal performance and availability of customer AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation
- Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues while providing support for technical challenges related to cloud systems
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders, developers, and project managers to align infrastructure with business objectives and lead automation initiatives
Required qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an ABET-accredited institution
- 7 years of software or network engineering experience, including 3+ years in AWS Cloud Security, DevOps, or DevSecOps
- Experience with AWS security/networking tools and DevSecOps/CI/CD practices
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and automation scripting in Python, Bash, or Go
