Job Summary
To support the Department of Education's Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services, the remote AWS Security Assessor will implement security strategies, conduct cloud security assessments, and analyze vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement security strategies for cloud environments, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
- Conduct comprehensive cloud security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
- Prepare security compliance reports and execute cloud Security Controls Test plans
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least ten years of related experience
- Minimum of five years as a Security Controls Assessor or similar role focused on cloud security
- Senior industry certification such as CISSP or equivalent
- Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and security as code methodologies
- Ability to obtain a DoED Level 6 High Risk/Public Trust Security Clearance
