AWS Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on AWS cloud and infrastructure security, the remote Jr-Mid Level Security Engineer will protect sensitive healthcare information by building secure environments using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code while collaborating with Development and CloudOps teams on security practices.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, repeatable, and auditable AWS environments using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Collaborate with Development and CloudOps teams to implement DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security, and identity and access management
• Maintain cloud security controls aligned with HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST, SOC 2, and PCI requirements, and support security monitoring and incident response

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on security engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience securing AWS workloads across compute, storage, networking, and identity
• Familiarity with AWS security services such as IAM, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
