AWS Security Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance security measures for a Fortune 100 client, the remote AWS Security Engineer will implement and operate security controls while supporting security governance and leadership functions on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and operate security controls in enterprise environments
- Support the organization's security governance program and leadership function
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and SOC 2
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or security engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with identity and access management, endpoint security, and cloud security
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, logging/monitoring, and data protection
- Familiarity with security frameworks, including NIST and SOC 2
