AWS Security Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time AWS Security Engineering Lead will set technical direction and manage the architecture and roadmap for security platforms, focusing on log pipelines, SIEM, and cloud security, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Security Engineering team while setting priorities and building career paths
• Own the architecture and roadmap for security platforms, making and documenting major design decisions
• Set the security architecture for AWS environments, including identity guardrails and logging and monitoring

Required qualifications

• 5 or more years in security engineering, cloud security, or detection engineering, including senior or lead-level experience
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based or agent-based workflows and AI-assisted development
• Deep knowledge of AWS security architecture, IAM, and security services
• Strong Python skills and experience with infrastructure as code, with a record of shipping production systems
