AWS Security Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time AWS Security Engineering Manager will set technical direction and own the architecture for security platforms, focusing on AWS security, detection automation, and operational collaboration in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Security Engineering team, setting priorities and building career paths
• Own the architecture and roadmap for security platforms, making and documenting major design decisions
• Set the security architecture for the AWS environment, including identity guardrails and posture management

Required qualifications:

• 5 or more years in security engineering, cloud security, or detection engineering, including senior or lead-level experience
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers
• Hands-on experience building AI-assisted workflows and security tooling
• Deep knowledge of AWS security architecture and related services
• Strong Python skills and experience with infrastructure as code
