AWS WorkSpaces Migration Architect
Job Summary
To lead the migration from VMware Horizon to Amazon WorkSpaces Core, the full-time AWS WorkSpaces Migration Architect will manage architecture design, customer communication, and technical oversight while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design the target-state AWS WorkSpaces Core architecture and oversee the migration wave plan and cutover sequencing
- Define Terraform module structures for WorkSpaces provisioning and establish CI/CD pipelines for image lifecycle management
- Produce architecture documentation and serve as the primary escalation point for technical blockers
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience
- 3+ years in VDI/EUC environments, specifically with VMware Horizon or AWS WorkSpaces
- Proficiency in AWS WorkSpaces Core, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline tools
- Strong skills in Python and PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or equivalent certification
