Azure Cloud Architect
Job Summary
To support Army Finance modernization initiatives, the remote Azure Cloud Architect will design secure cloud infrastructure and connectivity using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, while guiding engineering teams through architecture, security, and operational readiness decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead cloud architecture discovery and document deployment boundaries, assumptions, and approved service selections
- Design identity integration, network segmentation, and secure connections among Microsoft services and the Army cloud environment
- Establish infrastructure-as-code patterns and support validation of backup, recovery, and resilience requirements
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 3+ years with Azure
- Experience designing cloud networking, identity, and secure access controls
- Hands-on understanding of infrastructure as code and environment management
- Experience delivering Government cloud solutions and applying Zero Trust principles
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
