Azure Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support mainframe operations, the remote Azure Cloud Engineer will manage outsourcing providers, oversee troubleshooting and optimization of mainframe technologies, and provide guidance to application development staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate activities of mainframe outsourcing providers, ensuring successful execution of tasks and software releases
- Monitor mainframe activities for issues and improvements, providing first-line support across organizations
- Develop performance reports and streamline operations by creating new utilities and processes as needed
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of systems programmer experience with a strong background in operating system software management
- Experience managing mainframe outsourcing agreements and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems; Master's degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of ITIL principles, particularly in problem and incident management
- Proven technical leadership experience in IT with a passion for mainframe technologies
