Job Summary
To support a dynamic and secure cloud infrastructure, the fully remote contract Azure Government Cloud Network Engineer will design, automate, and maintain high-performance software-defined networks, focusing on zero-trust deployment models and compliance with federal security frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage global Azure Virtual WAN architectures, implementing advanced routing policies and traffic engineering solutions
- Define and provision complex routing fabrics through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring state governance and automated compliance
- Architect secure environments within Azure GovCloud, enforcing network security measures and maintaining compliance with federal regulations
Required qualifications
- Proven experience deploying Azure Virtual WAN with Routing Intent and complex User-Defined Routes
- Mastery of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) engineering in high-availability enterprise configurations
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for production-grade architectures
- Deep understanding of Azure Government Cloud compliance and operational constraints
- Experience in distributed, multi-location environments utilizing Scaled Agile frameworks
