Azure System Administrator

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Azure System Administrator will manage the day-to-day administration, security, performance, and reliability of the Microsoft Azure environment, with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop and FSLogix profile management while transitioning operations from a Managed Service Provider to internal management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator of the Microsoft Azure environment, overseeing subscriptions, resource groups, and governance
• Lead the transition of Azure operations from a Managed Service Provider to internal management, including knowledge transfer and documentation
• Design, deploy, and administer Azure Virtual Desktop, managing host pools, session hosts, and FSLogix profile containers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or applicable IT certifications; Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-140) strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure/Operations or systems administration
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure administration in a production environment
• Extensive experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and demonstrated FSLogix expertise
• Experience insourcing an environment from a Managed Service Provider is a strong plus
