BA QA 508 Tester

Job Summary

Working fully remote, the BA QA 508 Tester will manage requirements elicitation, Agile story refinement, and functional testing to ensure compliance with federal Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA standards for various web applications and modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements and user feedback, refining them into detailed Agile user stories in Jira/VLab Redmine
• Plan and execute Section 508 accessibility evaluations using various assistive technologies and automated scanners to ensure compliance
• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, documenting feedback and tracking exit criteria

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, software quality assurance, and Section 508/WCAG web accessibility testing
• Hands-on experience performing Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance evaluations on public-facing federal web applications
• Proficiency with accessibility tools and screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and automated audit tools like Axe and WAVE
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience managing defect lifecycles in Jira or VLab Redmine
