Back-End Engineer
Job Summary
To support a fast-growing FinTech company, the full-time Back-End Engineer will design, build, and maintain production-grade services and APIs, focusing on secure and scalable systems for payments and rewards in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain back-end services and APIs (GraphQL and REST) for web and mobile applications
- Translate product requirements into structured data models and technical designs
- Implement authentication and authorization for multi-user business accounts, ensuring security and compliance
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building production back-end systems with Node.js
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/ES6/TypeScript and experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs
- Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with caching and messaging systems such as Redis
- Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (GCP preferred), and CI/CD pipelines
