Backend Architect

Job Summary

To drive the architecture and modernization of large-scale cloud-native backend platforms for enterprise e-commerce and loyalty ecosystems within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) domain, the full-time Backend Architect will architect scalable APIs, distributed event-driven systems, and microservices using Python (FastAPI) and AWS-native technologies while providing strategic technical leadership across backend engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own backend architecture strategy for enterprise e-commerce and customer engagement platforms
• Architect scalable, cloud-native backend ecosystems and establish architecture standards across backend systems
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to backend engineering teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of backend engineering and architecture experience with strong expertise in Python-based ecosystems
• Deep expertise in FastAPI, REST API architecture, and distributed systems design
• Proven experience architecting large-scale event-driven platforms and cloud-native microservices ecosystems
• Extensive experience designing scalable systems on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of e-commerce ecosystems and customer engagement platforms
