Backend Developer
Job Summary
Taking full ownership of meaningful backend projects, the Backend Developer will work remotely or from Cyprus, developing new functionalities, optimizing core systems, and leading projects from requirement analysis through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new functionalities for web applications
- Lead projects from hypothesis development to successful release, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, Design, and QA to define requirements and deliver business value
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with modern PHP (8.0+) and Yii2
- Experience in database optimization, including profiling, indexes, and query plans
- Familiarity with production operations, including logging, monitoring, and safe migrations
- Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests
- Understanding of PCI/PII compliance basics
