Job Summary
To support the growth of MuseHub, the Backend Developer will take full ownership of the backend systems, migrating from Azure to a modern PHP stack while ensuring high performance and zero downtime for users, in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Own the MuseHub backend, including catalog, search, accounts, orders, and APIs for the web storefront and desktop app
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues by breaking down TTFB by layer and implementing fixes
- Develop and execute a migration plan to transition the backend services from Azure to the Muse PHP stack without downtime
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with modern PHP (8.0+) in production web backends
- Proven experience migrating live products between stacks or clouds without downtime
- Strong database skills, including profiling, indexing, and query optimization (MySQL)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for production operations
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing, Git, and CI/CD processes
