Job Summary
To support the Personalization mission, the full-time remote Backend Engineer will build and maintain backend systems that enhance personalized recommendations for millions of Spotify listeners.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve backend systems that support personalization and recommendations at scale
- Develop infrastructure for efficient retrieval, ranking, and filtering of personalized content
- Design reliable and scalable services to support high-volume recommendation workloads
Required qualifications
- Professional experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, or large-scale service architectures
- Ability to independently own engineering projects while collaborating across teams
- Interest in infrastructure behind recommendation and personalization systems
- Commitment to writing maintainable code and improving production systems
