Job Summary
To support various teams, the remote Backend Engineer will design, build, and operate production services and APIs, focusing on scalable solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and operate production services and APIs
- Lead projects from problem definition through deployment and iteration
- Improve the observability and operability of owned systems, including metrics and incident learnings
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production software or equivalent experience
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and API design
- Experience with a backend language such as Go, Python, or Rust
- Experience designing services that are reliable, observable, and maintainable
- Ability to clearly explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical partners
