Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Backend Engineer on the Profile & Community team will build scalable backend systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user profiles and social features for Airbnb's platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop scalable and high-quality platforms
• Define and execute product features that facilitate account setup for guests and hosts
• Mentor and support fellow engineers while building efficient backend components

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of industry experience in backend engineering
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience in building and scaling high-traffic products or systems
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design effective product solutions
• Proven skills in project management and stakeholder collaboration
