Job Summary
Building a fleet of agents to investigate live production incidents, the full-time Backend Engineer, AI SRE will design multi-agent orchestration, wire agents to observability data, and implement safety guardrails in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an agent fleet for investigating production incidents by gathering context and synthesizing root causes
- Design and implement multi-agent orchestration, including coordinator loops and specialized sub-agents
- Establish safety guardrails and evaluation harnesses to ensure the reliability and autonomy of the systems built
Required qualifications
- Strong backend engineering experience, particularly in distributed systems
- Proven experience in building agentic systems with a focus on tool use and multi-step planning
- Judgment regarding autonomy and safety in system operations
- Ability to reason about and respond to production incidents effectively
- Familiarity with observability tools and correlating metrics, logs, and traces
