Job Summary
Designing and developing scalable backend applications, the remote Backend Engineer - Python will utilize Python and FastAPI to create production-grade APIs, manage end-to-end development processes, and deploy cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Own end-to-end development from implementation through deployment, monitoring, and observability
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation using GitHub Actions and Docker
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI
- Experience with cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, including AKS and Cosmos DB
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted engineering tools in software development
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring for cloud-native applications
