Backend Product Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the design and development of backend services, the full-time Backend Product Engineer will manage data systems, build APIs on Google Cloud Platform, and collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to ensure a reliable and secure environment, all while employing AI-first development practices remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data systems for products
- Build and maintain APIs and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Manage the data layer across PostgreSQL, Firestore, and Firebase, ensuring data integrity and performance
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience
- Strong experience in building and running production APIs and services
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase/Firestore
