Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support cancer clinical trials and research, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will develop scalable enterprise-level software systems, manage task priorities, and contribute to project documentation while working mostly remotely with occasional in-office requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop scalable, reliable, and performant enterprise-level software systems using Object-Oriented programming languages
- Write well-tested and maintainable code, leveraging unit, integration, and BDD tests
- Participate in SCRUM Sprint planning and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of software development experience in Python, Java, Ruby, or comparable programming languages
- Experience building enterprise software systems in an AWS Cloud environment
- Knowledge of developing microservices with RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems
- Experience working in an agile development environment, such as SCRUM or Kanban
- Possession of a Bachelor or Graduate degree in a technical field from an accredited institution
