Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will own features end-to-end, build reliable distributed systems, and scale APIs and databases while working remotely within the Americas or European timezones.
Key responsibilities
- Own features from proposal to deployment, including APIs and dashboard experiences
- Build and maintain reliable distributed systems that manage traffic and failures
- Collaborate with support and customers to identify and implement product improvements
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend services
- Experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems
- Proficiency in designing systems from scratch and managing production infrastructure
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and service operations
- Experience with API design and relational data models, including database optimization
