Job Summary
To support a growing email platform, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will own features end-to-end, build reliable distributed systems, and scale APIs and databases while working remotely within Americas or European timezones.
Key responsibilities
- Own features from idea proposal to API and service development
- Build and maintain reliable distributed systems to handle traffic spikes and failures
- Scale APIs and databases, ensuring performance and data integrity as usage grows
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend services in production
- Experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems
- Ability to design systems from scratch and manage their rollout
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and service operations
- Experience with API design and relational data models
