Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Streaming team, the remote Backend Software Engineer II will design and develop backend systems, collaborate on product development, and ensure operational availability of data infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Break down larger projects into manageable tasks and collaborate with team members for timely delivery
- Engage with product management, design, and analytics to support the product development lifecycle
- Create and monitor metrics to maintain operations and availability of team artifacts
Required qualifications
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin with experience in designing and launching backend systems
- Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes
- Ability to write clear, well-tested, and extensible code while debugging and providing feedback
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
