Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Internal and Community Products team, the remote mid-level Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, maintain, and document back-end components for internal and open-source projects using technologies such as Python, Go, Docker, and PostgreSQL.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, support, and maintain back-end components of internal and open-source projects
- Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs, services, command-line tools, and integrations
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and deployment tooling using technologies such as Ansible and Terraform
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of software design and application development experience
- Professional experience with back-end languages such as Go, Python, or comparable languages
- Familiarity with relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL
- Experience developing extensible APIs and highly maintainable services
- Experience working with Git and modern collaborative software development workflows
