Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of Vida's data platform, the full-time Backend Software Engineer II will build backend services for data ingestion, validation, and integration while primarily working in Python in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build backend services that ingest, validate, reconcile, and serve data from external partners
- Develop systems for member identity, eligibility, billing, and other core business domains
- Design APIs, asynchronous workflows, and data pipelines used across Vida
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree at a minimum
- 2+ years of professional experience building backend software
- Strong programming fundamentals with a focus on Python
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Experience building systems that process significant amounts of data
