Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Building backend payment services for a high-volume fiat transactions platform, the full-time Software Engineer will work remotely to ensure correctness, security, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams on technical implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship backend services in Go for processing fiat transactions across multiple payment rails
• Deliver well-scoped projects from technical design to production deployment, ensuring high reliability for real money movement
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews to enhance the Payments Platform's distributed systems

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production, with proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or similar languages
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres or similar) and service-oriented architectures
• Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end projects with production-quality, well-tested code
• Familiarity with financial systems, payment processing, or high-reliability transactional infrastructure
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight for workflow improvements
