Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Collaborating with a skilled team, the full-time Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs while managing technical debt and participating in code reviews in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to ensure scalability and security for customer integration
- Manage and reduce technical debt while optimizing system architecture for stability and performance
- Drive the complete lifecycle of feature development from concept to implementation and delivery
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of software development experience in Java with a focus on object-oriented design
- Experience in building services and tools within web applications
- Strong data modeling skills with relational databases using SQL, ideally Hibernate
- Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills
- Bonus: Familiarity with network concepts (IP routing, MPLS) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
