Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance batch development and testing, the remote Backend Software Engineer will collaborate with product and infrastructure engineers to build tools and systems that streamline workflows and improve the reliability of critical batch workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Break down larger projects into individual tasks and ensure timely delivery through collaboration with team members
- Engage with product management, design, and analytics to support the product development lifecycle and articulate technical constraints
- Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts, supporting operations and availability while participating in on-call efforts
Required qualifications
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and launching backend systems using Python or Kotlin
- Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Experience in writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code that interacts with multiple software components
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
