Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Backend Software Engineer will build and ship new features in a scalable environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the reliability and performance of backend services.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable, high-performance RESTful microservices
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Conduct code reviews and mentor teammates on best practices and software quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with three years of experience, or a Master's degree with one year of experience
- Experience in backend application development and architecture
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, or Python
- Familiarity with database technologies including RDBMS and NoSQL
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
