Job Summary
Seeking a motivated Baseline Security Engineer, this full-time remote position will implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, conduct security assessments, and collaborate with technical teams to protect critical systems from cyber threats.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls and compliance assessments
- Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring systems meet established security requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams to address vulnerabilities and support audits and security reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) operations
- Experience creating security baselines using CIS and STIG benchmarks
- Knowledge of NIST 800 Special Publication series for risk management and security control implementation
- Ability to create and modify security baselines from vendor documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
