Benefits Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing organization, the full-time Benefits Manager will oversee the administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs, including leading the transition to self-funded medical plans, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage benefits reconciliation and administration, ensuring data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems
- Oversee ACA compliance and reporting, including eligibility tracking and IRS form filing
- Lead the transition from fully insured to self-funded medical plans, collaborating with Finance and Legal teams
Required qualifications
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive employee benefits experience with direct plan ownership
- Hands-on experience leading a transition to self-funded medical plans, including funding design and risk modeling
- Strong knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and PCORI compliance requirements
- Experience managing full lifecycle open enrollment processes
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
