Benefits Specialist Contractor

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time contract basis, the Benefits Specialist Contractor will administer and communicate leave of absence programs globally, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and communicate leave of absence programs, managing eligibility, documentation, and case tracking across multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international leave laws, maintaining accurate documentation and supporting audits
• Lead the interactive process for ADA accommodation requests, partnering with employees and legal counsel to evaluate and document decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience administering leave of absence programs, including FMLA and ADA, in a multi-country environment
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and international leave and accommodation regulations
• Experience managing the ADA interactive process and working with third-party leave administrators
• Proficiency with HRIS and leave management systems, with certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP being a plus
