Job Summary
To support patient care initiatives, the full-time Benefits Verification Specialist will conduct benefit investigations, verify insurance details, and manage prior authorizations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct benefit investigations and verify insurance benefits for patients and physicians' offices
- Accurately maintain client database and monitor outstanding items on each client case file
- Participate in conference calls with stakeholders regarding case statuses and facilitate therapy initiation
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 4 - 6 years' experience in the insurance, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries
- Computer proficiency in MS Office applications; database experience preferred
- Knowledge of third-party billing, coding, and medical terminology
- Experience with health insurance claims or patient accounting is a plus
