Big Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a collaborative environment, the full-time Big Data Engineer III will design, develop, and maintain large-scale data processing systems while working remotely with occasional onsite team meetings and project kickoffs.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and optimize ETL processes and design advanced data models for complex data requirements
- Oversee database management, including the implementation of NoSQL databases and data warehousing solutions
- Lead the implementation of big data technologies and manage data pipelines using cloud platforms like Snowflake and Fivetran
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or 6-8 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Master's Degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of direct experience preferred
- Certifications in big data, Azure cloud, or Snowflake are beneficial but not required
