Bilingual Collection Specialist
Job Summary
To support the management of auto loan accounts that are 90+ days delinquent, the full-time Bilingual Collection Specialist will negotiate payment arrangements, document collection activities, and assist borrowers in maintaining their vehicle while meeting loan obligations, with opportunities for remote work available for eligible candidates residing over 30 miles from office locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Negotiate payment arrangements and propose alternative payment methods to borrowers
- Utilize skip tracing tools to identify and locate delinquent borrowers
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the collections field, preferably in subprime consumer lending
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and apply collections regulations at various levels
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule and overtime as needed
