Bilingual Collection Specialist
Job Summary
To support the management of auto loan accounts, the full-time Bilingual Collection Specialist will service accounts that are 60 days delinquent, negotiate payment arrangements, and document collection activities, with options for in-office work in Santa Ana or Ontario, CA, or remote work for eligible candidates residing more than 30 miles from these locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Negotiate payment arrangements and assist borrowers in developing strategies to maintain vehicle ownership
- Utilize skip tracing tools to locate delinquent borrowers and document all collection activities accurately
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the collections field, preferably in subprime consumer lending
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations
- Experience with reinstatements is a plus
