Bilingual Collection Specialist
Job Summary
To support the servicing of auto loan accounts, the full-time Bilingual Collection Specialist will manage accounts that are 30-60 days delinquent, negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers, and document collection activities, with options for remote work available for eligible candidates in California.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Negotiate payment arrangements and assist borrowers in developing strategies to maintain vehicle ownership
- Document account information and collection activities accurately and professionally
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in collections, preferably in subprime consumer lending
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations
- Flexible work schedule availability, including overtime as needed
