Job Summary
To support diverse populations, the part-time Bilingual Facilitator will provide educational services to participants in the Brooklyn Abusive Partner Intervention Program, guiding them through a curriculum focused on accountability for abusive behavior, while working remotely for up to 19 hours per week during evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessment and orientation sessions for program participants following the established curriculum
- Schedule sessions and co-facilitate themed batterer intervention sessions using control logs and exercises
- Maintain participant attendance and conduct breathalyzer or toxicology tests as required
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in social services preferred
- Participation in qualified training in domestic violence and/or criminal justice or 100 hours of qualified internship training at an EAC site
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database software
- Knowledge of local criminal justice and treatment systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
