Job Summary
Providing vital support to individuals in crisis, the part-time Bilingual NSAH Support Specialist will deliver trauma-informed assistance through the National Sexual Assault Hotline during overnight shifts from Wednesday to Friday, focusing on crisis intervention and resource connection in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats, offering compassionate support and appropriate referrals
- Utilize crisis intervention best practices and maintain knowledge of the specific needs of hotline users
- Collaborate with NSAH staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and assist with quality assurance efforts
Required qualifications
- Fluency in English; Spanish fluency may be required for certain roles
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in social services, customer service, or crisis intervention
- Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum score of 35 WPM
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications
- Must be 18 years of age or older and complete a criminal background check
