Billing Analyst

Job Summary

To support the billing cycle, the full-time Billing Analyst will assist in resolving insurance eligibility issues, collaborate with payers and patients, and ensure compliance with billing processes in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work on assigned insurance eligibility accounts to resolve coverage and coordination of benefits issues
• Contact insurance companies to verify coverage details and document reasons for eligibility denials
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely resolution of account discrepancies

Required qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience in healthcare, insurance verification, or a related field
• Basic understanding of health insurance types, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word
• Familiarity with billing forms such as UB-04 and 1500 is preferred
• Willingness to learn eligibility requirements and coordination of benefits rules
