Billing Analyst

Job Summary

To support the billing cycle, the full-time hourly Billing Analyst will assist in resolving insurance eligibility issues, verify coverage details, and collaborate with internal teams and payers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate insurance platforms and resolve issues related to coverage and patient information
• Contact insurance companies to verify active coverage and document reasons for eligibility denials
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely resolution of billing discrepancies

Required qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience in healthcare, insurance verification, or a related field
• Basic understanding of health insurance types, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
• Familiarity with billing forms such as UB-04 and 1500 is preferred
• Willingness to learn eligibility requirements and coordination of benefits rules
