Billing and Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the accurate billing of mental health services, the full-time Billing and Claims Specialist will manage insurance claims submissions, payment entries, and billing statement preparations while collaborating with clinicians, administrative staff, and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee coding of services using ICD-10 and DSM-5 guidelines
• Submit claims through electronic health record (EHR) and claims-processing software
• Research and resolve billing issues by liaising with insurance companies

Required qualifications

• Compassionate and able to handle confidential information responsibly
• Able to learn and use computer software systems; training will be provided
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt
