Billing and Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the accurate and timely billing of mental health services, the full-time Billing and Claims Specialist will manage insurance claims submission, payment processing, and billing issue resolution while working collaboratively with clinicians and administrative staff in a professional office or approved remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee coding of services using ICD-10 and DSM-5 coding guidance
• Submit claims through the electronic health record (EHR) and claims-processing software
• Research and resolve billing issues by collaborating with insurance companies

Required qualifications

• Compassionate with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Able to learn and use computer software systems; training will be provided
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including Docs and Sheets
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
