Job Summary
To support a growing team focused on billing and insurance follow-up, the remote Billing and Follow-Up Specialist will manage claim submissions, resolve denial issues, and ensure effective communication with insurance companies.
Key responsibilities
- Review and prioritize follow-up activities related to claim edits and payer follow-up
- Research and resolve claim denial issues to facilitate timely processing
- Investigate payment variances and collaborate with other departments to drive issue resolution
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare billing and follow-up functions
- Strong understanding of the claim submission and cash posting processes
- Exposure to mental health and/or telehealth services
