Billing Manager

Job Summary

Leading the strategic financial health of the Patient Financial Services department, the full-time remote Billing Manager will optimize the patient accounts life cycle, oversee billing processes, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while managing a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Drive excellence in pre-billing, billing, third-party follow-up, and patient customer service
• Ensure compliance with Federal standards for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing and behavioral health regulations
• Lead and motivate a team to achieve departmental goals through effective project management and analytics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least five years of progressively responsible healthcare billing experience
• Prior supervisory or management experience in Patient Financial Services
• Preferred certifications in Epic and HFMA
• Strong knowledge of hospital billing and claims processes, including Medicare and managed care guidelines
