Billing Manager

Job Summary

To lead and optimize hospital billing operations for a designated health system client, the full-time Billing Manager will manage claim generation, submission, and performance metrics while working primarily remotely with occasional travel for client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational leader for billing services, ensuring alignment between client expectations and operational performance
• Oversee daily billing workflows, managing claim submissions and resolving billing errors and issues
• Analyze billing performance metrics and drive corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• 5+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience focused on hospital billing operations
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing billing teams in a healthcare environment
• Strong knowledge of hospital and professional billing processes, including claim generation and submission requirements
• Hands-on experience with Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) systems
